Landgoed Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt is a family estate (over 280 years owned by the same family) of more than 900 hectares on the outskirts of the village of Beesd. Sustainability and Mariënwaerdt go hand in hand. The herd on the Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt estate now has more than 180 Frisian Holstein cows. These cows graze on unsprayed, herb-rich meadows, which ensures the full and honest taste of their organic Estate cheeses. The cheeses are made from pasteurized, organic cow’s milk and vegetarian rennet is used. “The full-fat character of the cheeses and the passion of our cheese maker ensure the recognizable taste of our cheeses.
